These initiatives aim to improve resource efficiency, optimize production, and reduce the environmental impact of the meat and poultry industry.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>GO UP: Circular and Upcycling Strategies in the Agri-Food Sector<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objective: <\/strong>Develop technologies for the valorization and transformation of poultry slaughterhouse by-products into natural flavorings and functional compounds applicable to human nutrition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Description:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The aim is to reduce waste generated in poultry slaughterhouses through the application of upcycling processes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Using innovative technologies, these by-products will be transformed into functional ingredients with nutritional and sensory value.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objective: <\/strong>Reduce water consumption in food processing plants through advanced purification systems and improvement of its properties.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Description:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wastewater generated in the slaughterhouse will be analyzed to determine its composition and feasibility for reuse.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Different purification technologies will be tested to ensure that the water can be safely used for cleaning processing areas.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This strategy will reduce the environmental impact of the industry and optimize the class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objective: <\/strong>Optimize the nutrition of fast-growing chickens to reduce nitrogen load in excretions, improving their welfare and meat quality.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Description:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The relationship between protein feeding and nitrogen reduction in excrement will be investigated.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improved nutritional formulations will be developed to decrease the incidence of diseases such as pododermatitis.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By reducing nitrogen pollution, the project will contribute to environmental sustainability and the production of the survival of fattening pigs during outbreaks of respiratory disease.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Description:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The presence of genetic markers in the male line will be studied.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The impact of these markers on improving survival during respiratory outbreaks in fattening pigs will be evaluated.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The influence of this strategy on the productivity and
